| VEHICLE MODE:
BuildHurricane is the second figure introduced in the BuildMaster line. He is
approximately 4" in length, 3.75" in width, and 5" in height. His
color is definitely an eye catcher with three tones of Green; Light Green for the shovel,
Dark Metallic Green for main body, and painted Light Green for the track housing/wheels.
He The undercarriage is partly Gray with some parts
being Green and the tracks are Dark Gray. Under the tracks are four little wheels
which allow it to roll on a surface since the tracks are not moveable. The cabs
windows are Smoke-Clear plastic that is clear enough to see one of the robots arm.
The shovel is connected to the center of the body which can be
raised and lowed at that location. The next joint on the arm has limited movement
but the actual shovel is more giving. The only disappointment with the arm/shovel is
that it will not move below surface level to simulate actual excavation.
ROBOT MODE: Transformation to robot mode begins with
the removal of his shovel from the center of the excavator and extending the Green
connector from the underside of BH 90 degrees. The next step is to grab hold of the
tracks pulling them outward creating an inverted "T" with the Light Gray parts.
Now extend the two Light Green parts on the inner side of the tracks which will
form part of BH's feet as well as extending the tracks to reveal his knee joints.
Rotate each lower half of his legs so that the painted Green track housing/wheels are
facing up. Now separate the tip of the track to create a three-toed foot.
Bring in both legs closer together. This
collapses our inverted "T" joint that we created earlier and now should look
like a "W". Now fold down the Green connector which was one of the first
pieces that we moved in the beginning.
Now we are working on the main body so rotate the
entire cab section upward 180 degrees so that the cab is facing downward. If you're
looking right down the figure, you should see two flaps that need to be opened to reveal
BH's head. The head should be folded out and fit snug in it's slot. Now
separate the chest folding the halves back and extend the arms (formerly the cab) and
hands or claws. |

BuildHurricane in Robot Mode.

Here's a close up photo of Hurricane's head.
Fold the shoulders back once more, fold the shoulder
pads down, then rotate each arm in the proper direction. The last step is to
reconnect the shovel to BH's back at the hole on either side of his shoulder blade.
BuildHurricane now stands at approximately 8.5" in robot mode.
BuildHurricane has a spring loaded Shovel Scissors
weapon that can be extended as shown in the photo above (clearer photo of Shovel Scissors
on BuildKing).
BuildHurricane wears a green helmet with an Orange
painted visor and Silver face. The front/top of his helmet sort of looks like a
shovel doesn't it?
BuildHurricane is a well proportioned robot with good
articulation. His legs provide good stability as well as poseability with the aid of
his three-toed feet. The only real disappointment is with his arms. There
should've been a joint added to allow BH to rotate his hands upward instead of always
having his palms down. Overall he is a nice looking figure and is the most
articulated of the four BuildMasters.
NOTE: BuildHurricane can be transformed into
BuildKing's arms, either leg, as well as a weapon. |
