| VEHICLE MODE:
BuildTyphoon is the third figure measuring approximately 4" in length, 2.75" in
width, and 2.5" in height. His color scheme is Dark and Light Yellow with some
Silver and Gray parts. BT has four large wheels which roll quite nicely. The
cab is located in the front/center of the Dump Truck with Smoke-Clear plastic windows.
BT's bucket has somewhat of limited movement but does a decent job of
simulating "dumping". BuildBoy is the only vehicle of the four that
doesn't have a moving part (shovel).
ROBOT MODE: BuildTyphoon has one of the
easiest transformations that begins with lifting the bucket upward while still connected
to the Gray arm and keeping it parallel with the surface. Rotate the cab with the
arm/bucket 180 degrees. There are two Gray parts on either side of the vehicles'
body which are the arms and hands of BT. Raise both hands in the up position.
Also raise the two Black pieces located at the rear of the vehicle. These form BT's
feet. Now fold out both arms at the elbow joints then rotate the shoulder joints
inward so that the front tires are facing up.
Moving on to the legs, grab the rear of the vehicle where the toes
of BT are located and extend them from the main body. The pelvic region may need to
be reconnected forming the letter "M". Now stand BuildTyphoon on his
newly formed legs.
Rotate the bucket so that the lip which extended above the cab in
vehicle mode is at the top. Now fold the bucket over the body which should fit snug
over the Gray joint. To create his head, rotate the cab upward 180 degrees, lower
the flap which is actually the cab's roof and extend BT's head. Close the flap/torso
and you're done!
BuildTyphoon now stands at approximately 5" in robot mode. |

BuildTyphoon in Robot Mode with his Bucket Claw
weapon.

Here's a close up photo of Typhoon's head.
BuildTyphoon has a Bucket Claw weapon which is stored
on his back when not in use. Sometimes he seems like he'd topple backwards with that
extra weight, but the neat little feature which isn't identified in the instruction sheet
is that two flaps or "heels" can be extended which provides more stability.
It almost looks as if he's wearing skis since his toes are quite long.
When BT's weapon is attached to his fist it has a neat
little spring loaded function that lets you open and close the claw when you depress the
lever. It's an awfully big weapon for BT but he's quite stocky so it doesn't look
that bad.
BuildTyphoon wears a Yellow helmet with an Orange
visor, Silver painted face, and that smirk on his face. It seems like Takara likes
to have at least one figure with a smirk such as GelShark.
I really like the easy transformation and especially
BT's vehicle mode with it's smooth roll on any surface. BuildTyphoon and
BuildCyclone are probably my favorite of the four BuildMasters because of their size and
appearance.
NOTE: BuildTyphoon can be transformed into
BuildKing's arms, either leg, and as a weapon. |
