BuldKing is packaged in a windowless box which measures
approximately 13.5" in length, 3" in width, and 10.75" in height.
This box can be displayed vertically or horizontally depending upon which side you're
looking at. Takara has gone to this style of packaging which shows photos of the
actual toy as well as computer graphics which are very nice in my opinion.
ROBOT MODE: BuildKing stands at 8"
from head to toe but can reach the height of 10" or so. There are three
different BK variations or modes that can be created with the BuildMasters; Hurricane,
Cyclone, and Typhoon. The modes are named after the BM's that make up the arms in
BK.
Hurricane mode makes BK look a little bottom heavy which is why I
prefer the Cyclone or Typhoon modes. The last two modes give BK a bulkier appearance
with the forearms and pincers/claws.
BuildBoy always transforms into the torso & head of BK which
connects to the other three BM's with pegs. The Autobot symbol (sticker) is always
visible since it's applied to the roof of BB. The other three figures connect
together with a dovetail type joint (forms an inverted triangle) which was quite tight in
the beginning but has loosed up a bit after many transformations. BuildBoy actually
provides added stability in jointing with its' pegs.
BK is very stable due to the wide "feet" and extra support
of the foldout wheels from BC & BT. The upper-half is also fairly stable except
when in Hurricane mode since the parts are thinner than the others. I had to tighten
the screws of BH since the joints were getting a little loose from the many
transformations but I've been very careful not to over-tighten them...wouldn't want to
strip the screw holes!
BuildKing is my favorite gestalt among the others (JRX and
Baldigus). His transformations, appearance, and stability is truly unique using
every piece of the individual figures unlike Baldigus. He is a bulky Transformer
which will handle the daily torture of any child...young and old!
BuildKing and the BuildMasters are an A+ in my book and a must have
for all gestalt fans! |
