 TRANSFORMERS: CAR ROBOT

GOD MAGNUS (C-023)

God Magnus was released on the 14th of September, 2000 and is an awesome addition to the Cybertrons.  God Magnus is packaged in an enclosed box measuring 15.5"x13.75"x3.75".  There are two variations to display the box (lengthwise or heightwise) with one side showing the toy in vehicle mode with God Magnus in robot mode (CGI), and the other showing both vehicle and robot mode of the actual toy.

God Magnus is packaged in robot mode shown above.  His color scheme is red, white, blue, with some gray, but Blue is more dominant.  He is also package with your standard tech-spec card, catalog, and instruction sheet.  The catalog was disappointing since it isn't new.  It still shows God Magnus in gray as a "new figure" and that is it.  It should've had God Magnus, the Super Car Brothers, with Brave Maximus in gray.  Oh well.

This 10-wheeled vehicle has impressed me with its detail, transformation, size, and function.  The wheels even have "God Magnus" imprinted on them.  I can't say enough about God Magnus since I really like vehicles and this "new" addition to the Cybertrons line-up is a must have!

God Magnus' vehicle mode is very nice.   He represents a transport trailer which measures approximately 13.5" in length which is just about the same size as FireConvoy in vehicle mode.

The weapon system (Laser, Missiles, & Vulcan) can be attached to two different locations; front or rear.  This photo shows the rear position which has the MagnaLaser, Missile shooter, and MagnaVulcan ready for action.

The Autobot symbol stands out in gold trim as part of God Magnus' grille.  The cab is nicely done in white with clear-blue windows.   There's even cab lights painted in orange on top :)

Here's a second shot of God Magnus with his weapon attached to the front of the car carrier rails.  And here are a few more photos of God Magnus with the Super Car Brothers.  This vehicle designed perfectly for these vehicles.  As you can see, there's just enough room for MachAlert behind God Magnus' weapon.  The upper rail fold down as does the rear ramp to simulate the "loading" in a transport trailer. Just added a couple pics of the cab without the trailer since someone on ATT mentioned that there weren't any posted online.  I think the cab would look much better if the "gaps" were filled on the sides, but the jet engines really look cool for any vehicle!

God Magnus is not a bad looking robot in my opinion.  His waist is a wee bit high but doesn't really take anything away from him since he has an awesome weapon!

God Magnus stands at approximately 12" tall with much support keeping him upright.  This is due to the fact that the trailers side walls extend on the side of each leg.  His forearms are similar to the Super FireConvoy attachments where they fold out revealing God FireConvoy's fists.  The trailers rails form a v-shaped wing attached to his backpack when collapsed.  The backpack also consists of two jets/nozzles which simulate a "Jetpack".

There's an electronic voice box which is located just beneath the backpack.  It takes 2 AAA batteries which are not included.  When his weapon isn't attached, he says "God Magnus...Transform!" when the button is depressed.  God Magnus has a total of four different sounds and it all depends where his weapon is attached.  If it is attached to his right shoulder, the MagnaVulcan sound is produced which is a machine gun sound (multiple shots).  If it is attached to his left, the MagnaLaser sound is produced which is a pulse sound (single shots).   The fourth sound is produced when the MagnaLaser & MagnaVulcan are attached and is called the "God Burst".  This is a combined Vulcan & Laser sound.   The photo below shows God Magnus with this weapon attached to the front with the scope extended on top of the missile launcher.  There are even hand grips (in red) to simulate firing his weapon.  This is an awesome multi-transforming weapon and I'm sure all will agree.

The last photo of God Magnus is a close-up shot showing the detailed helmet that he wears.  It even has an Autobot symbol engraved at his forehead.  His face is painted silver and has gold painted eyes.

Okay what's wrong with the photo above?   That's right...it's mis-transformed :S  The two small Blue panels on his leg should be folded back vice front.  I guess I was a wee bit excited to take some photos that I forgot the pay close attention to detail.  When this happens I usually get an e-mail identifying the error.  Thanks to Blade116 for the correction!

GOD FIRECONVOY

God FireConvoy is one bad mutha...shut yo mouth!!   Now this is truly a piece of work!!  He stands at a whopping 13 1/4" from head to foot.  Every piece of God Magnus connects to FireConvoy creating God FireConvoy.  The rear of God Magnus' trailer attach to both legs of FireConvoy creating God FireConvoy's sturdy legs/feet.  God Magnus' hands "invert" and are attached forming God FireConvoy's hands.  His torso, backpack, and head are formed from God Magnus' cab and rails so that the grille and Autobot symbol is centered on God FireConvoy's chest.  The backpack/wing balances God FireConvoy since his torso is quite large which really removes the "top-heavy" appearance.  God FireConvoy's head was hidden in God Magnus' cab which folds out.  His head is similar to Super FireConvoy (shown below) with the addition of gold antenna on either side of his head.  This photo was taken when the sound button was depressed which also lights up his eyes/head.

The electronic "sight & sounds" is unique.  With the press of a button, God FireConvoy's eyes light up when he says "Choh-kyodai gattai! God Fire Convoy!" which translates to "Ultra-Giant Combination" as per Doug Dlin.

When a the MagnaVulcan weapon is attached to God FireConvoy's right shoulder and the button is depressed, you'll hear a gatling gun type sound.  When the MagnaLaser is attached to his left shoulder, you'll hear cannon fire.  Now when the combined weapon is attached as shown on the photo above, you'll hear God FireConvoy yell "God Fire" and weapons firing three times.   Awesome!!

As I stated earlier...this is an AWESOME figure and a must have for all Car Robot collectors!!
