Crystal Hot Rodimus (C-78C) is an exclusive which was made available along with Black Hot Rodimus (C-78B) on the 26th of February, 2001 at Toy Festival.  It too is supposedly limited to 1500 releases.  I ordered this figure through BigBadToyStore.

The box art is identical to the Black version including the Transformers 15th Anniversary Gold Sticker that is incorporated into the box.  And guess what?  It states that it's a "Transformers Limited Edition".  Figure the odds :)  The Blue & White box has been modified to include the tech spec card on the back since a card was not included with the figure.

The contents include:

1. Hot Rodimus (vehicle mode)
2. Photon Lasers (x2)
3. Sticker Sheet
4. Instruction Sheet

There were a few stickers that were pre-applied as with the original re-issue.  So what you see in the photos are all of the pre-applied stickers (hood & door stickers).  His color scheme is almost the same as the original re-issue but in clear colors.  It looks quite sharp in these "crystal" colors in my opinion.

WEAPONS:  His weapons are identified as Photo Lasers.  The instruction sheet labels the top weapon as Photon Laser-B and the bottom as Laser-A.  Either can attach to his engine and both fists in robot mode.

ROBOT MODE:  To transform Hot Rodimus into robot mode is quite simple.  The first step it to extend the rear of the car then rotate both wheels in the upward position.  Flip the car over and rotate his pelvic piece 180 degrees.  Next, flip down his metal toes.  The final steps form his torso and head.  Push the hood down and out slightly which should allow you to rotate his head 180 degrees and lock into place.  Now connect the little tab from the hood to his pelvic piece.  Last step is to rotate his Yellow tailpiece and roof which is connected to his back 180 degrees.  Hot Rodimus should now look like the photo below standing at a whopping 5.75".

There isn't too much articulation with this figure.   His elbows can be adjusted from left to right/up and down.  That's about all there is for movable parts.

VEHICLE MODE:  Hot Rodimus is a futuristic car with a chromed engine and exhaust pipes and rubber tires.  His windows are clear-gray tinted plastic with simulated headlights that are Gray.  His rub-sign is located on the roof in vehicle mode which is clearly visible through the window of the box.

All 3 of my Hot Rodimus pages have about the exact same information since the major difference in each are the colors.  Transformation is the same as well as everything else.  After taking a good look at all of them, I'd have to say that Black Hot Rodimus is the better looking of the bunch!
