 TRANSFORMERS: CAR ROBOT

GRIJIBER (D-006)

VEHICLE MODE:  Grijiber is a re-colored "Swindle" (yellow) which now is a Green Jeep.  It doesn’t have any stickers but a painted on white star on the hood and the letters "GV" for Government Vehicle I suppose.  On the left rear quarter panel (above the wheel) is the inverted Autobot symbol in the center of a vintage US military symbol (replaced the star in the center of a circle with two stripes on either side).  I will refer this symbol as "military Autobot" on the rest of this page.  Two seats and a windshield are painted black.  The undercarriage has a brown plate with most of it painted bright orange.  This is actually Grigiber’s torso in Robot Mode. Grigiber is only about 3" in length and 1 3/4" in width which makes him the smallest of the team.

He has two weapons in his arsenal.  They are both black and called GeeBlaster (fires explosive rounds) and GreeGun (Laser-firing).  These weapons can attach to each other as well as connect between Grigiber’s seats as depicted in the photo.

Here's a close up photo of Grigiber's head with his Green painted eyes.

The above photo shows Grigiber in both Vehicle and Robot Modes.

ROBOT MODE:  Transformation is really simple with Grigiber.   The first step is to extend the rear of the jeep exposing his legs.  Rotate the rear piece with the wheels down 180 degrees so that the wheels are facing up.   This step created his feet that are connected together by the axle and joined knees.  Next, extend both step sides until they lock which now form the arms.   Now stand the headless robot on its’ feet (note: there are 2 holes underneath his feet for Baldigus’ left or right fists/feet).  Fold the front wheels back and down revealing Grigiber’s head (note: his head folds down and is used as a shoulder joint for Baldigus).  Now attach his weapons to both fists and you’re done! Grigiber’s head is black with his eyes painted green.  Sure does give him that military appearance J

This is a very simple figure with an okay appearance in robot mode but is a pretty decent Jeep.  There isn’t much in articulation but is expected for an 80’s mold.
